Eight and counting...

It is 8:30pm and The Hubs just got home - REALLY late for a teacher! It's our 8th anniversary and he was working at the high school graduation. We plan to celebrate on a different day, so it was a huge surprise when he brought this home! My favorite things: Orange flowers, Martinelli's sparkling cider, Moosetracks ice cream, and love notes. What a sweetheart!

In our wedding program I had several of my favorite love poems printed. This one was a hope of affections to come, and today, I can claim them as my own.  I love you, dear husband.

To My Dear and Loving Husband
by Anne Bradstreet

If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were lov'd by wife, then thee;
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me ye women if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold,
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that Rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee, give recompence.
Thy love is such I can no way repay,
The heavens reward thee manifold I pray.
Then while we live, in love let's so persever,
That when we live no more, we may live ever.

  2. Eight years?!?!?! Where have they gone? When I look into Pinkalicious's and Monkey Boy's eyes, I know the answer!

    Congrats to you both!
